Color Mixer

You have two colours and need what is between them — a midpoint, a tint, or a smooth step for a scale. The Mixer blends any two colours and, crucially, lets you choose the colour space the blend happens in, which changes the result a lot.

How to use it

  1. Set colour A and colour B.
  2. Pick the colour space — RGB, HSL, CIE Lab, LCH, OKLab or OKLCH.
  3. Drag the ratio slider to weight the mix toward one side.
  4. Try the ten blend modes (Multiply, Screen, Overlay and more) for a different effect.
  5. Copy the resulting colour.

Good to know

  • Blending in OKLab/OKLCH avoids the muddy greys you often get mixing in plain RGB.
  • A 50% mix in Lab is a solid way to generate the middle step of a colour scale.
