About Paleta
Paleta is a free suite of color tools that runs entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no uploads, no tracking by default.
Paleta brings together fourteen focused tools that designers and developers reach for every day: generating palettes, pulling colors out of an image, checking WCAG contrast, converting between formats, building design tokens, and more. Each tool does one job well, and they all share the same fast, keyboard-friendly interface.
Why we built it
Good color tooling was scattered across a dozen sites — many behind sign-up walls, cluttered with pop-ups, or shipping your images off to a server just to read a few pixels. We wanted one place that is fast, private, and works even offline. So we built Paleta as a set of self-contained pages: open one, and everything happens on your device.
Privacy comes first
Every calculation runs client-side in JavaScript. The images you open and the colors you pick never leave your computer. There are no accounts and no server-side database. The palettes you save are stored locally in your browser using localStorage, so they stay with you and you can clear them at any time. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.

Free to use
Paleta is free to use for your personal and commercial projects. It is original, authored software — the source code is not open source, and all rights are reserved. Under the hood it is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no ad-tech baked into the core; if ads are shown, they are kept clearly separate from the tools. Have an idea or found a bug? Get in touch.
