PALETTE

Image Color Palette Extractor

You have a photo — a sunset, a product shot, a piece of art — and you want the colours in it. The Image Extractor reads the pixels right in your browser and pulls out a clean, dominant palette, with four algorithms to suit different images.

How to use it

  1. Drop in or upload any image — it never leaves your device.
  2. Choose an algorithm (K-Means, Median Cut, Vibrant or Hue-Peak) and set how many colours you want.
  3. Paint over a region to focus the extraction on just that part of the image.
  4. Open the result in the editor to refine it, or export as CSS, Figma tokens or ASE.

Good to know

  • Each algorithm has a personality: Vibrant favours punchy colours, Median Cut is even-handed — try a couple.
  • Painting a region is the fastest way to grab, say, just the sky or just a logo.
Related: fine-tune the result in the editor, save it to Saved, or turn it into a token system.
