Design with colour, from first swatch to shipped code.
Paleta is a free suite of colour tools that runs entirely in your browser. Generate palettes, extract them from images, check accessibility, and export production-ready code — no sign-up, and nothing ever leaves your device.
The toolkit
Fourteen focused tools, one consistent workspace
Each tool does one job well and hands off cleanly to the next. Pick where you are in the process — they all share the same keyboard-friendly interface and four-theme design.
How it fits together
From a single swatch to a shipped design system
The tools are built to flow into one another. A typical journey looks like this:
Spin up ideas in the Palette Generator, lift colours from a photo in the Image Extractor, or explore schemes in Harmonies.
Fine-tune tones in the Picker, blend two shades, and convert to the exact format you need.
Run every text/background pair through the Contrast Checker to hit WCAG AA or AAA before you commit.
Turn it into design tokens, preview it on real UI and type, then keep it in Saved.

Frequently asked questions
Yes — every tool is completely free, for personal and commercial work alike. There is nothing to install and no usage limit. See the Terms for the fine print.
No. Paleta has no sign-up, no login and no paywall. Open any tool and start working immediately.
Never. Every calculation runs locally in your browser — the photos you open in the Image Extractor and the colours you pick are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Yes. Each page is self-contained, so once it has loaded it keeps working without a connection. Your saved palettes live in your browser via local storage.
If you want inspiration, start with the Palette Generator. If you already have a colour or an image in mind, jump to the Picker or the Image Extractor.
Depending on the tool: CSS variables, JSON, Tailwind config, Figma tokens, Style Dictionary, PNG images and more. The Token Generator and Saved Palettes pages are built for exporting whole systems and datasets.
